A comfortable, stylish place with neat bite sized orders of tapas. A fairly varied menu from which almost anyone can have a good time with.

Reservered a table online 3 hours in advance to be cancelled 3 minutes before the reservation! We were standing right outside when we got the call... The opposite of customer service

The food was very disappointing compared to other la cubanita locations. Lots of fat, way too much mayonnaise, dishes don't taste good. Pointed pepper not even cut open and almost no pine nuts or anything on it, half empty plates with some dishes and sloppy presentation. For example, with the crisps, everything was literally thrown in, ham not around the melon (not yet very ripe), peach in the oven, lots of lemon over the avocado (apparently to make it look fresh?) Camembert was completely brown and with the bun already warmed up, so all the fat is pulled into the bun. Many dishes with either a lot of salt (almost inedible) or no salt at all... a number of dishes never reached our table at all.... We are 100% la cubanita fans, but unfortunately this was not a success. The ladies in the service are friendly, but it is really time for an excursion to another branch with the entire staff or a thorough sweep through the kitchen... Plates and cutlery on the table were greasy upon arrival. Apparently rinsed but not really clean... A real shame...

That was a bit of a shock. I have now eaten at La Cubanita restaurants more often and always had a good experience. This was the first time in Ridderkerk, but also the last time. We had to send four dishes back because they were not warm or not fully cooked. However, the staff does not seem to care much about this, even if they indicate this several times, no attention is paid to it. Very shame. The success formula works well at other locations, but apparently people here have a different opinion.
